Kurz gesagt

  • On-site garage: 800 spaces on the rooftop, $20 flat per event, open 6 am to 1 am.
  • Entrances: West at 1901 Convention Center Dr; East at 2000 Washington Ave.
  • Valet: $35 for standard events, $30 for sponsored ballroom events.
  • Backup garages: 17th Street, City Hall, Pennsylvania Avenue, Collins Park: $20 daily max.
  • No car: Free city trolley and Freebee; 12 miles from MIA.

Park in the Convention Center's own rooftop garage for the $20 flat rate unless the show is Art Basel or another sellout; then go straight to a city garage on 17th Street or Meridian Avenue, where a full day also tops out at $20.

The short checklist

  • The on-site garage charges a $20 flat fee per event; the parking decks are the uncovered 4th and 5th levels
  • Grand Ballroom event? Use the East entrance at 2000 Washington Ave
  • Accessible spaces are on the rooftop; EV charging is on the 5th floor
  • Garage hours are 6 am to 1 am, seven days a week
  • City garages take no bills over $20, and a lost ticket costs $20
  • Check the event calendar: a big show fills the nearby city garages early

The on-site garage, explained

The Convention Center garage has 800 spaces, including accessible and EV charging spaces and bike racks. Parking is on the rooftop, the uncovered 4th and 5th levels, so on a summer afternoon the car will be hot. The fee is a $20 flat rate during events, not hourly, which makes it a good deal for a full conference day and a poor one for a 30-minute pickup.

There are two ways in: the West entrance at 1901 Convention Center Drive, and the East entrance at 2000 Washington Avenue. For events in the Grand Ballroom, the center tells you to use the East entrance. The garage is open 6 am to 1 am, seven days a week.

Valet

Valet is run by 1st Class Parking near the West Lobby, the main entrance off Convention Center Drive. The center lists $35 for a standard event and $30 for sponsored events in the ballrooms or with catering. With the garage at $20, valet only pays off if you are carrying equipment or running late.

Art Basel and other big weeks

Art Basel Miami Beach runs December 4 to 6, 2026 at the Convention Center, with public days from 11 am to 6 pm and invitation-only preview days on December 2 and 3. That week, every garage around 17th Street and Meridian Avenue is under pressure. Arrive before opening, or park farther north and ride in.

Before that, the center's calendar shows The Hospitality Show on November 2 to 4 and Adobe MAX on November 10 to 12, 2026. Check the events page for the show you are going to, since some organizers post their own parking notes.

Skip the car

The free City of Miami Beach trolley serves the Convention Center; the Middle Beach Loop connects the 41st Street area, Collins Park, the Convention Center and City Hall, and all routes run 8 am to 11 pm daily, about every 20 minutes. That makes the 42nd Street Garage, $8 for the day, a real alternative on a busy show day.

Miami-Dade buses stop at 17th Street, at the center and at City Hall. The center is 12 miles from Miami International Airport and six miles from downtown Miami and PortMiami.
