Wynwood murals, then beer, then a burger
The companion to our Wynwood walk: what the Walls cost, where the free murals are, which bar to sit down in when the light goes, and the burger that keeps winning contests to end it.

Kurz gesagt
- Murals: Wynwood Walls at 10:30 am when the gates open, then the free streets around it.
- Lunch: MIAM Cafe on NW 3rd Ave, open until 4 pm.
- The drink: Bar Tulio's from 5 pm, or La Ferneteria's rooftop from 5 pm Wednesday to Sunday.
- The burger: La Birra Bar, Golden Burger, open until 1 am and 3 am on Friday and Saturday.
Do the murals while the light is good, sit down when it goes, and end at La Birra Bar: the order is the whole trick, because the Walls close at 6:30 pm and the bars open at 5.

Open the walk with every stop on the mapHow the afternoon goes
Wynwood is a grid of warehouses painted end to end. The Walls are the paid part and the streets around them are the free part; between them you can fill three hours on foot without leaving a few blocks. Galleries and the Walls close around six, bars open around five, so start at the Walls, walk the streets, then sit down.
This guide is the long version of the walk. The route page has every stop on the map with the minutes between them.
The walk, stop by stopWynwood Walls
This is where the street-art version of Wynwood started, and the walls inside are bigger, better lit and better kept than anything on the sidewalks. Artists from all over the world paint here and the pieces rotate, so the place looks different from one year to the next. It is a museum you walk through in open air, with shade, benches and a small shop at the end.
Go right at 10:30 am when the gates open, before the groups. It is ticketed, which surprises people who remember it free; book on the site. Everything is outdoors, so bring water. The murals on NW 2nd Avenue and the side streets outside the gates cost nothing and cover a larger area.
MIAM Cafe
Wynwood's food is mostly built for the night, and MIAM is built for the day: breakfast, salads, sandwiches and plates in the bistro style, plus wine and beer if lunch turns into the afternoon. It is one of the most reviewed daytime spots in the neighborhood and it stays consistent.
Open 8 am to 4 pm every day. Weekend brunch after 11 am means a short wait. It sits in a courtyard-style building a block west of the main murals, so it fits between the Walls and the free streets.
Second Saturday of the month is the art walk: galleries open late and the streets fill up. Good for the murals, bad for a table.
Bar Tulio's
The sit-down after the walk. Bar Tulio's does three things at once without being bad at any of them: Mexican plates you can make a dinner of, cocktails built on agave, and screens for whatever is on that night. It sits on NW 1st Avenue at 28th Street, a quieter block than the main strip, so you can usually get in.
Weeknights from 5 pm. Friday from 5 and Saturday from noon it runs until 1:30 am; Sunday noon to 11 pm. On big game nights the bar is the show, so pick a table away from the screens if you came to talk. If you would rather see Wynwood from above, La Ferneteria opens its ninth-floor rooftop at 5 pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
La Birra Bar
At 1 am in Wynwood you want something excellent and you do not want to think. This is an Argentine chain that came to Miami and started winning burger contests almost immediately. The Golden Burger is two patties, a soft bun and a sauce people try to reverse-engineer in the comments. The room is loud, fast and friendly.
Lunch is easy. Dinner from eight on a weekend means a line, but it moves. Open until 1 am most nights and 3 am on Friday and Saturday. Portions are big; one burger and shared fries is plenty, and $$ means you get out under $25 a head. It is a block west of NW 2nd Ave, five minutes on foot from the Walls.
