Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables
A 1920s Mediterranean landmark hotel in Coral Gables with a huge pool, a Donald Ross golf course and a famous Sunday brunch.
Geprüft Oktober 2026
Best for a special-occasion stay, a long Sunday brunch or a round on a historic course. The trade-off: it's inland in Coral Gables, so there's no beach here, just a very large pool and a lot of old-world formality.
The tower and the halls
The Giralda-style Moorish tower is what you'll see first, rising over Anastasia Avenue. Inside, the hotel lists hand-painted frescos on barrel-vaulted ceilings, travertine floors, marble columns and carved mahogany, all surrounded by gardens. It's a National Historic Landmark and is marking its centennial, so expect the history to come up often. There are 271 rooms, and 173 of them are suites, which is an unusual ratio. Some have open-air balconies. Google reviewers give it 4.5 from about 2,800 ratings, which is solid for a place this large and this old.
Pool, fairways and courts
The pool is billed as one of the largest hotel pools in the U.S., with private cabanas and daybeds around it. Since there's no sand in Coral Gables, this is where you'll spend your hot afternoons. The golf course is 18 holes, par 71, designed by Donald Ross in 1925 and updated since, and there's a Jim McLean golf school on site. Tennis players get eight lighted courts, open to members and hotel guests day or night, plus six newer pickleball courts. A 10,000-square-foot gym with saunas and a spa round it out.
Eating without a room key
Sunday brunch is the big draw, and it's the hotel's most promoted meal. Afternoon tea is a rarer find, and the hotel says it's one of the few classic English teas in the Miami area. Fontana does Italian-inspired dinners with a serious wine list, which makes it the date-night pick. The Biltmore Bar handles cocktails, Fairways is the casual spot overlooking the course, and Cascade serves poolside. For something quick, Posto Dolce sells coffee, pastries, sandwiches and gelato to go. Prices aren't listed in what we saw, so check before you book.
Reservierung
Reserve your Sunday brunch table ahead, since it's the hotel's headline meal.
Dresscode
The New Year's Eve dessert soiree and fireworks asks for cocktail attire.
