For a cheap, strong Cuban coffee near Lincoln Road that's still open after dinner. The trade-off: it's a chain branch, and the menu leans hard toward sugary lattes and matcha.

The order

Get the 4-ounce classic cortadito, listed at $3.95 on the chain's menu. It's espresso cut with steamed milk, sweet and gone in a few sips. Hazelnut, mocha and caramel versions cost the same, and pistachio runs $4.95. A coladita is $4.75 if you're splitting with someone, and a cafe con leche is $5.95. The site says prices can vary by location, so treat those numbers as close, not gospel. Either way, this is one of the cheaper ways to get properly caffeinated a block from Lincoln Road, where most coffee costs more.

Lattes, matcha and dessert

Most of the menu is the flavored stuff. Tres leches and caramel flan lattes run $6.50 hot or $7.50 iced, and pistachio is a little more. The matcha list goes further: lavender, strawberry, sweet and a tres leches matcha, all $7.50 or $8.50. Cold foam adds $1.25. These drinks are closer to dessert than coffee, so order accordingly. If you'd rather drink fruit, there are two smoothies at $8.95: Tranquilo y Tropical, with papaya, mango, banana and orange juice, and Green Madness, with spinach, kiwi, apple and banana.

Meridian, early and late

The hours are the real selling point. It opens at 7 am every day and stays open until 9 pm Monday through Thursday and 10 pm Friday through Sunday. That's late for a coffee counter on the Beach, so it works after dinner on Lincoln Road. For breakfast, the combos are the deal. A pastry and cortadito costs $8.25, and a ham and cheese croissant or egg croissant with cafe con leche is $12.95. It holds a 4.4 from about 840 Google reviews, which is solid for a branch this close to the tourist foot traffic.
