Good for a long Wynwood brunch with chilaquiles and a serious coffee list. The trade-off: it closes at 5, and the signature plates cost more than brunch usually does.

The chilaquiles question

Chilaquiles come four ways here, and the menu makes clear which one the kitchen is proudest of: the short-rib version at $27, with braised short rib, pasilla salsa, refried beans, cotija and avocado. That's steep for breakfast. The plain chilaquiles are $14.95 with salsa verde or roja. You can add avocado or bacon for $2 each, or chicken for $6. Chilaquiles suizos and enchiladas suizas, on house-made flour tortillas, are $15.95. On the sweet side, the horchata tres leches pancakes ($14.95) with bruleed banana and walnut-cookie crumble are the dish the place leads with. The whole breakfast list runs all day.

Past breakfast

Lunch leans more bistro than taqueria. Tacos come in three builds: skirt steak with nopales ($22), ribeye with habanero sauce ($28) and shrimp on blue corn tortillas ($23). The sirloin burger ($19) gets bacon jam and crispy jalapeños, and the honey chicken burger ($17) comes with a honey-Tabasco glaze and coleslaw. Starters include serrano croquettes with truffle aioli and a ribeye chicharrón with guacamole. A Black Angus ribeye and a milanesa napolitana anchor the house specials. The $$ tag holds if you order sensibly. Go for the ribeye dishes and it climbs quickly.

Coffee, cocktails and the clock

Doors close at 5 pm every day, so despite the cocktail list, this is a daytime spot, not a Wynwood night out. It opens at 9 am daily. The coffee bar does V60 and French press alongside espresso drinks, which makes it a solid first stop before you walk the murals. Cocktails lean on espresso, matcha and mezcal, there are zero-proof options, and the drinks menu has a bottomless section. This is the bistro's first U.S. location, and reviewers are happy so far: 4.9 from about 230 Google reviews. That's a small sample, but a strong one.
