Hirooka Surf And Sport
Mobile lessons from IKO-certified coaches: surfing, kiteboarding, paddle boarding, skating and more, based in Miami Beach.
Geprüft November 2026
Best for parents who want one patient coach for several sports, or adults who want a private session where they already are. The trade-off: this is a lesson service more than a shop you browse, so plan and book ahead.
Pick a sport
The menu is long for a small outfit: surfing, kiteboarding, paddle boarding, skateboarding, Onewheel riding, biking, e-bike tours, pickleball and even jiu-jitsu. Instructors are IKO-certified, which matters most if kiteboarding is your goal, since that's the sport where bad teaching gets people hurt. Sessions run private or in groups, and the site says any age and any experience level is welcome. It's also mobile: they come to you, so the Miami Beach Drive address is more of a home base than a place you need to show up. Board rentals cover paddle, surf and skate boards if you just want gear.
The packages
Pricing on the site is simple. A single session is listed at $100, and packages drop that to $90. The 5-hour package comes to $450 and the 10-hour package to $900. The useful part is that package hours work across any sport, so a kid can surf on Saturday and skate on Tuesday off the same block. The exception is kitesurfing, which is excluded from packages and booked separately. Hours are 9 am to 6 pm every day, which covers most morning surf windows and after-school slots. The Google rating sits at 4.6 from about 50 reviews, a small but steady sample.
Lessons for kids
Most of the reviews quoted on the site are from parents, and nearly all of them name Coach Mike. One family says he's worked with their kids since January 2021, covering surfing, biking, skateboarding, boxing, basketball and self-defense, and that the kids still ask for him. That's the real pitch here: one coach who follows what your child is into instead of a rotating staff. If you want a multi-sport mentor for a restless kid, this fits. If you want a big surf school with a beachfront shack, lockers and a crowd of other beginners, this isn't that.
Reservierung
Book lessons in advance through their site or by phone; it's appointment-based, not walk-in.
Gut zu wissen
Package hours work on any sport except kitesurfing, so book kite lessons separately.
