Live Norwegian king crab is the headline, and Klaw says it's the only restaurant on the East Coast serving it. The other half of the menu is a beef program with dry-aged steak, which landed it at No. 42 on the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants list in 2023 and No. 35 in 2024. The kitchen calls it surf and turf, and that's the sensible way to order: split a crab and a steak at the table rather than doubling up on one. Up on the rooftop
Google lists Klaw as open from 4 pm Tuesday through Sunday, but the dining room's dinner service starts at 6 pm (5 pm on Sundays). That early window likely belongs to the rooftop bar and the happy hour menu, so confirm before you show up at 4. If it lines up, it's the cheaper way to get the bay view and a drink without committing to the full dinner. The site has its own booking link for the rooftop, separate from the main room. Closing is 10 pm Tuesday to Thursday, 11 pm Friday and Saturday, 9 pm Sunday. Mondays it's closed.
The check
Every bill gets a 20% service charge added automatically, so read it before you tip again out of habit. Through October 30, the Miami Spice menu runs three courses for $65, before tax and that charge, Tuesday through Sunday, with a $40 beverage pairing. That's the lowest entry price you'll find here. Add king crab or dry-aged steak to the table and it climbs quickly. Outside Spice, the site doesn't post prices, so plan on steakhouse money and look at the à la carte and beef menus before you book.
