For anyone catching Brightline or wanting a quick food-hall lunch Downtown. It's a transit hub first, so there's not much reason to linger unless you're boarding or meeting a train.

Catching the train

Brightline is the reason most people walk through this building: it's the Miami station for the train that links the city to other parts of Florida. MiamiCentral is more than a platform, though. It's a full complex at 600 NW 1st Ave in Downtown, with offices, apartments, shops and a food hall built around the station. That makes it an easy base for a day trip, since you can eat, kill time and board without leaving. It holds a 4.7 from about 6,900 Google reviews, which is high for a transit hub. Book through Brightline and check departure times before you pick a day.

Central Fare before you board

Central Fare is the food collective right next to the station, put together with chefs behind concepts the site calls nationally acclaimed. The site doesn't list stalls or prices, so treat it as a reliable lunch or a bite before departure, not a destination worth crossing town for. It suits groups who can't agree on one cuisine, and it's indoors, which matters on a rainy afternoon or in August. If you're picking someone up off a train, it's also a much better waiting room than the curb outside.
