Miami-Dade County Auditorium
A 2,372-seat county-run theater on West Flagler in Little Havana, staging local theater, music and dance since 1951.
Geprüft Oktober 2026
Best for affordable local and bilingual theater, music and family shows. The catch: the current listings are at partner venues, not this hall, so check the address on your ticket before you go.
Seventy years on Flagler
The first show here was "Carmen," sold out, in February 1951. Since then the 2,372-seat hall has hosted Pavarotti's American stage debut in 1965, plus Baryshnikov, Celia Cruz, Yo-Yo Ma and Jerry Seinfeld. Miami City Ballet and Florida Grand Opera have both called it home. Today the county's Department of Cultural Affairs runs it, and the programming leans local: Miami theater, music and dance companies, with shows in English, Spanish, and sometimes both on the same night. It sits in the heart of Little Havana, and the audience reflects that. It holds a 4.4 from about 570 Google reviews.
Check where the show is
Read the venue line on your ticket. The fall lineup runs under the Away From Home Series, and every listed show is somewhere else: ARCA Images' "La Historia del Zoológico" at Westchester Cultural Arts Center, Bistoury Physical Theatre at O Cinema Little River, the 305 International Improv Fest at Inkub8, and Negroni's Trio at the Koubek Center. Our sources don't say why, so don't drive to West Flagler assuming the curtain goes up in the main hall. The office keeps weekday hours, 9 am to 4 pm, and is closed weekends. Call 305-547-5414 if anything's unclear.
Kids, summer and free shows
Fun Arts for the Family started in 2015 and runs year-round, with free and low-cost shows aimed at children. The Hot Theatre Summer Series, launched the same year, fills the slow summer months with live theater. Ticket prices vary by show and aren't posted in one place, so check each event. Can't make it in person? The auditorium posts full performances for free on its YouTube channel, including the drive-through shows it filmed in 2020 and 2021. Assistive listening devices are available. For sign language interpreters or other accommodations, send your request at least five days before the show.
Reservierung
Request sign language interpreters, CART or other accommodations at least five days ahead by calling 305-547-5414.
Gut zu wissen
Upcoming shows are listed at partner venues around town, not the Flagler Street hall, so double-check the address on your ticket.
