For couples and polished weekenders who want the Grove's walkable calm with Italian hotel polish. The trade-off: the ocean is across the bay, so beach days mean a drive to the hotel's Miami Beach setup.

Rooms with a balcony each

Every room here has its own furnished balcony, and that sets the tone. Views run over Biscayne Bay and the Coconut Grove skyline. Balcony limits are spelled out: two people on a king room's balcony, four on a double. Check-in starts at 3 pm and checkout is noon, with early or late requests depending on availability and sometimes costing extra. Expect a $150-per-night hold on your card for incidentals. Between the two restaurants and in-room dining, you can go a whole stay without hunting for a reservation elsewhere, though the Grove makes that a shame.

Pool, spa and the beach deal

The rooftop pool is for hotel guests only, with cabanas and a view that stretches to Brickell and South Beach. BeAtala Wellness Spa handles personalized treatments and holistic therapies, and there's a fully equipped fitness center for anyone keeping a routine. The perk most people miss: through Boucher Brothers, guests get two reserved chairs and towels at a private beach setup on Miami Beach, with watersports available on request. It's a drive over the causeway, but it fixes the Grove's one real gap, which is that there's no ocean out front. The hotel holds 4.6 from about 610 Google reviews.
