Palapa is the main event space at Upper Buena Vista, a big thatched tiki built by Seminole tribe members using ancestral techniques. It covers about 3,500 square feet under the roof, plus 1,500 open-air, ringed by tropical trees. That roof does real work in Miami: shade in the afternoon, cover when the rain rolls through.
