A beach stop listed at 465 Ocean Dr, on the south stretch of Ocean Drive in South Beach, rated highly by visitors.

Geprüft Oktober 2026

Good for a first beach day in South Beach when you want an easy, central address to aim for. The trade-off: there's little official information listed, so check the basics yourself before you go.

The address on Ocean Drive

Playa Miami Beach is listed at 465 Ocean Dr, which puts it on the lower, southern end of Ocean Drive in South Beach. That's a useful thing to know: it gives you a concrete point to drop in a map app or tell a rideshare driver instead of just saying "the beach." Google files it as a tourist attraction rather than a business, and there's no website or posted schedule attached to it. Treat it as a meeting point and a way onto the sand, not a venue with services.

What the ratings say

It holds a 4.8 from about 950 Google reviews, which is a strong score for a beach listing, where people tend to complain about crowds, heat and parking. A rating like that usually means the basics deliver: sand, water and an easy place to start. Don't read it as a promise of anything extra, because nothing in the listing mentions rentals, food or facilities. Pack like you're heading to an open public stretch of shore and you won't be disappointed.

Before your towel goes down

No hours are listed, so check conditions and any access rules before you head over, especially early in the morning or after dark. There's also no price information, and no confirmed parking details, so plan your ride or walk in advance rather than circling Ocean Drive hoping for a spot. Bring water, sunscreen and whatever shade you need. The listing gives you a location and a good reputation, and the rest is up to you.
