For anyone dairy-free, vegan or just after a serious pistachio scoop in Wynwood. The trade-off: the menu rotates, so your favorite might not be in the case, and it doesn't open until 11 am.

The flavors to order

Roasted Pistachio is the flavor to start with: imported Turkish pistachios, roasted in-house and blended into pistachio butter. Everything here is plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free, made daily in small batches in the Wynwood kitchen by a gelato maker who trained at Bologna's Gelato University. Coconut Dulce de Leche is the other one regulars name, with Cookie Monster, Date Almond, Mocha Almond, Golden Scoop and Black Sesame on the list too. The menu rotates seasonally, so not every flavor will be there every day. A 4.9 from about 1,000 Google reviews suggests the dairy crowd isn't complaining either.

Espresso and the drinks

Affogato is the move when it's hot and you still want caffeine: a scoop drowned in a fresh espresso shot. The affogato latte goes the other way, an iced latte with gelato floating in it. Without coffee, there's a purple lemonade, freshly squeezed and served sparkling or still, and an Italian soda called Fizz made with fresh strawberry or orange juice. It opens at 11 am, so this is an afternoon espresso stop, not a breakfast one. Hours run to 10 pm Sunday through Wednesday and 11 pm Thursday through Saturday, which makes it an easy after-dinner walk.

Allergies and the fine print

Nut allergies get a straight answer here: pistachio and some other flavors contain nuts, and everything is made in the same kitchen, but in separate machines to avoid cross-contact. Tell the staff if yours is severe and they'll steer you to the safest options. Sugar-free options exist, and the shop says it keeps sugar low across the menu. It isn't certified kosher or halal, though most ingredients are, so ask at the counter. No price level is listed, so check the menu if budget matters. Delivery runs through Uber Eats and DoorDash; pickup works by phone.
