Vizcaya Museum Cafe & Shop
The grab-and-go cafe and gift shop inside Vizcaya, serving Cuban paninis, salads and wine right beside the Main House.
Geprüft Oktober 2026
Good for a museum lunch break that won't punish your wallet. The trade-off: you need a Vizcaya ticket to get in, and the menu is sandwiches and salads, not a destination meal.
What to order
The Cuban panini is the obvious pick at $12: roasted mojo pork, ham, Swiss, pickles and mustard, with chips, side salad, potato salad or an apple. Spend a bit more and the steak panini or Vizcaya's tuna melt on naan runs $16. Lighter eaters have the quinoa bowl at $15 or avocado toast at $10, plus a daily quiche and soup. Kids get flatbread pizza, a hot dog or grilled cheese for $10 with chips and fruit. It's grab-and-go, so think museum lunch, not a sit-down restaurant. Coffee starts at $4, and gelato is $7.
Getting in
Only guests with museum admission can reach the cafe, so this isn't a drop-in lunch spot off South Miami Avenue. It sits on the north side of the Main House, next to the Swimming Pool Grotto and across from the Orchidarium, which makes it an easy break between the house and the gardens. Google lists it open 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, from 10:30 am on Saturdays, and closed Tuesdays. The cafe's own page gives slightly different hours, so plan lunch earlier rather than later. It also closes on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Wine, gifts and the 10%
A glass of house pinot noir, pinot grigio or moscato is $10, and a prosecco split is $13, a fair way to cool down after the gardens. The shop side sells gifts inspired by the estate's architecture, gardens and collections. Members get in free and take 10% off at both cafe and shop. It holds 4.4 from about 310 Google reviews, which sounds right for a museum cafe with reasonable prices. Tea on the Terrace returns in the fall with fine china. Dates and prices weren't posted yet, and reservations will be required.
