Vizcaya is open every day except Tuesday, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Adult tickets (13 and over) are reduced from the standard $32 to $20 during restoration work; that discount changes to $25 on November 1, 2026. Children 6 to 12 pay $10, and 5 and under are free.
Veterans and active-duty military with ID enter free, and Miami-Dade residents 62 and over can use the Golden Ticket on Mondays and Wednesdays. Evening events add a reason to come back: Vizcaya Late runs on November 4, and the village After Hours tours run during the November 12 night market.

The Barnacle: a historic house on the bay
The Barnacle is a small state park on Main Highway built around a historic house. It opens Thursday to Monday, 9 am to 5 pm, and is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Entry to the grounds is $2 a person for anyone arriving on foot or by bike; children 5 and under are free. The house itself is only open on a guided tour. Tours start at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm and cost $3 for ages 13 and up and $1 for ages 6 to 12.
Parking is the catch. The park's page says there is no public parking, only metered spaces in the neighborhood, although its directions section mentions a paid public lot. The park also warns that the Google Maps address is wrong, so navigate to 3485 Main Highway by hand.
The Kampong: book ahead, mostly for the parking
The Kampong is a tropical garden at 4013 South Douglas Road run by the National Tropical Botanical Garden. It opens Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 4:30 pm, with last entry at 3 pm. The garden encourages reservations because parking is limited.
The garden's page does not show standard ticket prices, so check the booking page. It does list a $2 discount for people who walk, bike or arrive by Uber or Lyft, for 33133 residents and for teachers, and free entry by phone registration for military veterans, SNAP and WIC recipients.
Greenstreet Cafe
Greenstreet Cafe, founded by Sylvano and Maida Bignon, opens at 7 am every day for breakfast, then stays open late: until 2 am on Friday and Saturday, per the Coconut Grove business district listing.
The patio is dog-friendly, which is half the reason locals sit there. It is a practical lunch stop between Vizcaya and the Barnacle, which is a short walk south on the same road.

Saturday is the strongest day: Vizcaya, the Barnacle, the Kampong and the organic market are all open. Tuesday is the weakest, because Vizcaya and the Barnacle are both closed.
From November through January the market season and the cooler mornings line up. The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is the big annual event, on Presidents Day weekend, February 13 to 15, 2027. Expect crowds that weekend, and check cgaf.com for tickets once they go on sale.
