The pastry counter and the Giralda cafe
Bachour is the brunch that pastry people cross town for. It sits at 2020 Salzedo Street and runs as a shop and a kitchen: the store opens at 7 am every day, the kitchen at 8 am, and brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday the kitchen stops at 4 pm and the store at 5 pm. Tables can be booked on OpenTable, which is the easy way around the weekend crowd.
Threefold Cafe has been on Giralda Avenue since 2014, and it is the place most people mean when they say brunch in the Gables. The menu names the usual suspects: avocado toast, eggs Benedict, pancakes and French toast. It opens at 7:30 am every day and closes at 3 pm Monday to Thursday and 4 pm Friday to Sunday. It has both a reservation page and a waitlist, so join one of them before you walk over. Giralda Plaza, the car-free block it sits on, is lined with other cafes if the wait is long.
Tina in the Gables, at 4700 South Le Jeune Road, is the other walk-in favorite: a Latin diner, neighborhood cafe and rotisserie serving brunch all day from 8:30 am to 4 pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Its site says the Monday and Tuesday closing is temporary, so check before a weekday visit.
GROU Coffee + Cowork
A specialty coffee shop and coworking space near the Shops at Merrick Park that serves brunch all day, every day it is open, not only on weekends. It takes no reservations.
Avocado toast is $12.99, a sourdough bagel with lox $14.99 and an acai bowl $11.99. Weekdays 7:30 am to 6 pm, weekends 8:30 am to 3 pm, with two hours of free parking.
Havana Harry's
The Coral Gables Cuban restaurant reopened on October 19 for lunch and dinner. Its site lists a breakfast menu starting December 1, so it becomes a morning option again in December 2026.
Open Sunday to Thursday 11 am to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday to 11 pm. Valet is a flat $10, from 11 am on weekends.
