Rooftop restaurants in Miami Beach: where you can still eat on a roof, and which ones closed
Miami Beach has fewer rooftop restaurants than the lists claim. These are the ones we could confirm open in October 2026, with hours and the catches.
En corto
- Dinner as a show: MILA, 1636 Meridian Ave: MediterrAsian dinner, Sunday brunch buffet.
- Ocean view: Watr at the 1 Rooftop, 1 Hotel South Beach: kitchen 11 am to 11 pm daily.
- Casual: Serena at the Moxy South Beach: open-air Mexican, from 10:30 am.
- Closed: Juvia left 1111 Lincoln Road in 2023; it is reopening in downtown Miami.
- Across the bay: Rosa Sky, 22nd floor in Brickell, for a real skyline view.
For a rooftop dinner on Miami Beach, book MILA for the night out or Watr for the ocean view; skip the old lists that still send you to Juvia, and cross to Brickell if height matters more than the beach.
Nota del editor
Most rooftop lists for Miami Beach are out of date. Juvia, the name on nearly all of them, closed on Lincoln Road in 2023, and at least one newer Lincoln Road rooftop shows as closed on its booking page. So this guide only lists places whose own pages we opened in October 2026, and it says plainly where we could not confirm something. Miami Beach rooftops are also low: a few floors up, not skyline height. If the view is the point, the mainland rooftops at the end do it better.

MILA
MILA calls itself a rooftop restaurant and serves what it brands MediterrAsian food: Mediterranean plates and Japanese technique on one menu. It is loud, late and dressed up.
Book ahead: reservations need a valid credit card, the restaurant asks main-room guests to arrive 30 minutes early, and cancelling less than six hours before, or not showing, costs $25 per guest. Children are welcome but follow the dress code too.
On Sundays it turns into a two-hour brunch buffet with live music, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Watr and Serena: the two hotel rooftops
Watr at the 1 Rooftop sits on top of 1 Hotel South Beach and is the one place here with a proper ocean view. The hotel lists the kitchen as open daily from 11 am to 11 pm and the bar until 2 am on Friday and Saturday. The food is Japanese-influenced, with sushi, maki and a raw bar, and there is a kids menu. For evenings the hotel asks for a chic-casual outfit to ensure entry. Book through the link on its page or call the hotel.
Serena, at the Moxy Miami South Beach, is the relaxed option: an open-air Mexican restaurant and bar that Marriott lists as open from 10:30 am, or 10 am on Friday and Saturday, until 11 pm or midnight. Its booking listing describes the space as an outdoor terrace under a domed cast-iron canopy with bougainvillea, so come for the setting and the margaritas rather than a sweeping view.
Closed or unclear: check before you go
Juvia, the Lincoln Road penthouse restaurant at 1111 Lincoln Road, closed in August 2023 after 11 years, according to local press. Its own site now shows a downtown Miami address, 652 NE 2nd Ave, marked coming soon. Any list that sends you to Lincoln Road for Juvia is old.
Oro, the large rooftop that opened at 818 Lincoln Road in early 2025, was showing as permanently closed on its OpenTable page in search results in October 2026. We could not open its own site to confirm, so call before you plan around it.
Vilebrequin La Plage, the swimwear brand's rooftop restaurant on the UNFRAMED hotel at 1685 Washington Ave, opened in 2026. Its opening announcement and its OpenTable listing give different dinner days, so check its booking page for the current schedule.
Rosa Sky
Twenty-two floors up in Brickell, with the downtown skyline and the bay around you. Its site lists Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30 pm to 2 am and Sunday from 2 pm to 1 am.
Happy hour runs Tuesday to Saturday 4:30 to 7 pm and Sunday 2 to 6 pm, with $10 specialty cocktails and bites.

Can non-guests go to hotel rooftops in Miami Beach?
Restaurants like Watr and Serena take public reservations. Some rooftops are guest-only: the Upside Rooftop at the Moxy is for hotel guests and private events.

Height wins on the mainland: Rosa Sky is on the 22nd floor in Brickell. Miami Beach rooftops are lower, so the view is of the street or the ocean rather than the skyline.
