Lola is the downtown bar for the long haul: open from 10 am to past 3 am on weekends, right on the Bayside waterfront, with drinks that cost less than the view suggests.

Why you go

Because Bayside is where downtown meets the water, and Lola is the bar there that locals actually rate: close to eight thousand Google reviews and a 4.9 average. The terrace looks over the marina and the Bayside boats; the drinks are cocktails, beer and the Latin standards. It is casual and open to whoever walks in.

When to go

Late afternoon for the water and the breeze, or late night when the rest of downtown has closed. Open 10 am to 2 am Monday to Thursday, until 3 am Friday and Sunday, and until 3:30 am on Saturday.

Casual, no dress code. The address is 401 Biscayne Boulevard, unit S118, on the south side of Bayside Marketplace; the Bayside garage is the parking and the Metromover College/Bayside station is across the boulevard.
