Shark Valley Tram Tours
A two-hour narrated tram ride into Everglades National Park, with a stop at a 45-foot observation tower.
Revisado octubre de 2026
Shark Valley Tram Tours is for people who want to see alligators and wading birds in the real national park without an airboat; the trade-off is the longest drive of any Everglades stop near Miami and a full parking lot in peak season.
Why you go
A park-trained naturalist narrates a tram ride of about two hours along the Shark Valley loop, where alligators often lie right beside the road and wading birds feed in the sawgrass. Halfway, you climb a gradual ramp to the 45-foot observation tower, the highest accessible point in the park. Bike rentals let you ride the 15-mile loop yourself instead. It rates 4.6 from 1,754 Google reviews.
When to go
The listing shows 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM daily. From December 20 to April 30, trams leave every hour from 9 AM to 4 PM; from May through mid-December, they run at 9:30, 11, 12:30 and 2, plus 4 PM on weekends and holiday weeks. The dry season brings the most wildlife and fewest mosquitoes. In winter the lot fills and the entrance can close temporarily, so arrive early.
