Best for a cheap sugar stop at odd hours, whether that's breakfast or after a Wynwood night out. The trade-off: it's a chain, and the doughnuts lean more novelty than finesse.

What's in the pink box

Start with the Voodoo Doll: raspberry filling, chocolate frosting and a pretzel stake through its heart. It also comes in a vegan version, part of a full vegan line in a case of more than 35 doughnuts. The Bacon Maple Bar is the other classic people box up. The Homer is strawberry frosting with round rainbow sprinkles, exactly as cartoonish as it sounds. The price level is a single dollar sign, so a mixed box for the group won't sting. Everything goes home in the pink box, which is half the point.

After 7 on a Thursday

From Thursday to Saturday, 7 pm until close, there's a separate late-night menu called Doughnuts After Dark. It includes a Chinese Takeout Fritter with pineapple, orange and a frosting with a little heat, the teal-frosted Baja Blasted ring, and the Mother Nutter, which is peanut butter on peanut butter on chocolate. These run while supplies last, so the later you show up, the riskier it gets. The shop stays open until 3 am every night, which makes it an easy last stop before you head home.

The NW 2nd Ave counter

This branch sits at 2401 NW 2nd Ave, on the north side of Wynwood. It's counter-serve in a colorful, deliberately odd room, so plan to order, grab your box and keep walking. The 6 am opening means it doubles as breakfast, not just a late-night stop. It holds a 4.5 from about 260 Google reviews, a solid score for a place people mostly visit on impulse. In October there's a Halloween Half Dozen, and the pumpkin doughnuts return at participating locations, so ask at the counter which ones this shop has.
