The train from Miami to Orlando: Brightline fares, stations and how the trip works
What the Brightline train from Miami to Orlando costs this fall, which fare to buy, where the six stations are and what you can bring on board.
En bref
- The train: Brightline, MiamiCentral to Orlando International Airport (MCO).
- Time: About 3 hours 30 minutes on a train that stops at every station.
- Cheapest this fall: SMART Saver from $39, booked 14 days ahead, by November 5, 2026.
- Stops: Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach.
- The catch: The Orlando station is at the airport, not near the theme parks.
Book a SMART Saver at least 14 days out if your plans are fixed, pay for a FLEX fare if they are not, and remember the Orlando end of the line is the airport, so you still need a ride to your hotel.

How the trip works
Brightline runs from MiamiCentral, at 600 NW 1st Avenue in downtown Miami, to its Orlando station at 10705 Jeff Fuqua Blvd, inside Orlando International Airport next to Terminal C. On the way it stops at Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.
Brightline's Orlando station page puts the ride at about three hours thirty minutes between Orlando and Miami, and about two hours between Orlando and West Palm Beach. At launch in 2023 Brightline also ran nonstop trains at two hours 59 minutes; check the timetable for your date, because the stopping pattern decides the time.
Its current schedule page lists 20 daily departures between Orlando and South Florida. Times change with the season, so pick your train in the Brightline app or on gobrightline.com rather than from an old screenshot.

The three fare types started on September 9, 2026 for trips to or from Orlando. Brightline's FLEX pages word the change rules slightly differently, so read the terms on the payment screen.

Kids, round trips and the small print
Children under 2 ride free. For ages 3 to 12, Brightline runs kid discounts on SMART fares bought together with an adult SMART fare; one current offer takes up to 50% off and needs a 10-day advance purchase on the Orlando route.
A round trip can save up to 10% on eligible SMART and PREMIUM fares. Promotions do not all stack, and several fall offers exclude FLEX, so compare the total on the final screen.
Pets travel in a carrier past security and on board. Brightline's pet page lists a $45 pet fee for trips to or from Orlando and $10 within South Florida; that page is more than a year old, so confirm the fee when you book.
Luggage and the clock at the station
Brightline's baggage policy allows two carry-ons up to 50 pounds and 24 by 16 by 10 inches, plus one personal item. A SAVER fare includes only one carry-on and a personal item, so a family with suitcases should price SELECT or FLEX before assuming Saver is the cheapest.
Checked bags go to the Guest Service counter at least 30 minutes before departure and no more than four hours before. Add them when you book; Brightline only guarantees space for bags added in advance.
Boarding opens about 10 minutes before departure and closes at the turnstiles five minutes before. A passenger who does not board forfeits the reservation, so treat the five-minute cutoff like a gate closing at an airport.
Arriving in Orlando
The Orlando station sits beside Terminal C at the airport. Orlando International's own train page says the station also hosts the Terminal Link to Terminals A and B, which helps if you are catching a flight. SunRail, the Orlando commuter train, does not stop at the airport.
For Disney, Universal or International Drive you still need a car, a shuttle or a rideshare from the airport. If you are leaving a car in Orlando, Brightline sends you to Parking Garage C, Level 5, and the skyway bridge, and its station page suggests arriving at least 1.5 hours before the train because the airport garages fill up.
