En bref

  • North Beach: Ezio's steakhouse on 72nd Street, Sushi Bichi on Ocean Terrace, Silverlake Bistro.
  • Surfside: Harding Avenue: Flanigan's, Cafe Ragazzi and many kosher restaurants.
  • Splurge: The Surf Club Restaurant, 9011 Collins Avenue, one Michelin star.
  • Closed: Taquiza's North Beach shop on Ocean Terrace closed July 31, 2026.
  • Parking: North Beach meters $1 an hour; Surfside $5 an hour, three-hour limit.

North Beach and Surfside eat quieter and cheaper than South Beach: book Ezio's or Silverlake Bistro for dinner, take Sushi Bichi for a beachfront table, and keep The Surf Club Restaurant for the one big night.

Where to eat north of 63rd Street, in short

North Beach is the part of Miami Beach above 63rd Street, and Surfside is the small town just north of it. Neither has a restaurant row like Lincoln Road. The food gathers in a few places: 71st and 72nd Streets in North Beach and Normandy Isles, Ocean Terrace by the sand at 73rd and 74th, Harding Avenue in Surfside, and the Four Seasons at The Surf Club on Collins Avenue.

For dinner, the newer names in North Beach are Ezio's, an Italian-style steakhouse at 580 72nd Street, and Sushi Bichi, a sushi bar right on Ocean Terrace. Silverlake Bistro on 71st Street on Normandy Isle is the long-running French option. In Surfside, Harding Avenue has a family seafood place, an Italian dining room and one of the densest clusters of kosher restaurants in Miami. The Surf Club Restaurant, Thomas Keller's room in the Four Seasons, holds a Michelin star.

One change to know: Taquiza, the taco shop on Ocean Terrace, closed its North Beach location on July 31, 2026. The closure was tied to the Ocean Terrace redevelopment, and the team is opening in Little River instead.

The Surf Club: three ways to eat at one address

The Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club on Collins Avenue has more than one restaurant, and they suit very different budgets. The Surf Club Restaurant is the formal one: Thomas Keller's take on Continental cooking, rated $$$$ by Michelin and holding one star. It serves dinner only, from 5:30 pm, and is closed on Mondays.

Lido is the hotel's coastal Italian restaurant, in the original 1930s building, with chef Marco Calenzo, born in Florence, in the kitchen. The Champagne Bar is the usual place to start. Winston's on the Beach is the casual poolside restaurant, with ceviche and poke bowls. Book through the hotel, and ask about parking when you do.

Harding Avenue and the kosher scene

Surfside's business district is two blocks of Harding Avenue, the 9400 and 9500 blocks, with more places a short walk away. The town's own directory lists around thirty food and drink businesses, and many are kosher: Hikari for sushi and omakase, Neya for modern Israeli food, the Harbour Grill for a kosher chophouse, STREET Kitchen and STREET Bar, Fialkoff's for New York-style pizza, Bibi's Burgers at 9505 Harding Avenue, and Serendipity Creamery for ice cream.

Flanigan's at 9516 Harding Avenue is the easy family dinner: the South Florida chain known for baby back ribs, fresh fish and big sandwiches, open until midnight most nights and 1 am on Friday and Saturday. Cafe Ragazzi, across the street at 9500 Harding Avenue, is the Italian-American room with a brick oven and a long pasta list. Its listings disagree on hours, so call before you go.

For a cheap breakfast, Gifted Crust Bakery at 9523 Harding Avenue bakes sourdough, and the town lists Bagel Boss Surfside, open since summer 2025, for New York-style deli.
