Go here for a serious gift or a decanter you'll keep for decades, and for smelling Rouge 540 before you commit. It's a crystal shop, not a bar, and nothing on the shelves is cheap.

What's on the shelves

Crystal is the main event: Harmonie tumblers, the Louxor whiskey decanter, Dom Pérignon flutes, Mass na glasses and the small Lucky Butterfly figurines in blue, pink, red, gold or clear. There's lighting too, including the cordless Nomadic lamps, plus vases and votives from the Eye collection. Then there's the fragrance side, built around Baccarat Rouge 540, the scent half of Miami seems to be wearing. Some listings call this place a cocktail bar. It isn't one. The barware is the closest you'll get to a drink here.

What it costs

Baccarat's US online prices give you a fair sense of the floor. A Lucky Butterfly runs $240, a single Mass na glass $270, and a pair of Harmonie tumblers $330. The Rouge 540 eau de parfum is $360 for 70 mL, and the extrait is $495. The Louxor decanter sits at $2,300, and a Nomadic lamp is $1,580. Store stock and pricing can differ from the website, so ask before you fall for something. The butterfly is the realistic entry point if you want the red box without the big spend.

Timing the visit

The shop is open 11 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 pm on Sunday, so it's easy to fold into a Design District afternoon. It earns a 4.8 from about 280 Google reviews, which for a luxury shop usually points to staff who don't hover. Weekday afternoons should be the calmest stretch. Bring a clear idea of what you're shopping for, whether that's a wedding gift, a housewarming or a scent, because the range gets wide quickly.

  1. It's Suite 210 at 140 NE 39th St, upstairs, so look past the ground-floor storefronts.

Réservations

Baccarat lets you book an appointment, which is worth doing for a big gift or a full set of barware.
