The Calle Ocho square where locals play dominoes and chess under a shelter, busiest on Sundays.
Vérifié octobre 2026
Domino Park is the Little Havana stop that needs no ticket: a public square on SW 8th Street where regulars play dominoes and chess, free, open 9 am to 6 pm daily.
Why you go
Because it is Calle Ocho at its most local. The tables under the shelter are full of regulars, the games are serious, and you can watch from the edge. It is short, real and right on the main walk.
When to go
9 am to 6 pm every day. Sunday is the busiest and the most fun to watch. Late morning on a weekday is calmer.
Know before you go
Free. It is at 1444 SW 8th Street, across from Guantanamera and a short walk from Sala'o. Watch quietly and ask before you take photos of the players.
