Españolita is the South Beach dinner that lives up to its block: Spanish seafood and steak on Española Way's pedestrian lane, open until almost midnight every night, and busy for the right reasons.

Why you go

Because Española Way is the prettiest two blocks in South Beach, car-free and strung with lights, and this is the restaurant people fill it for. The kitchen is Spanish: seafood, grilled meats and the plates you share across the table. With more than twenty thousand Google reviews it is not a secret, and it does not need to be.

When to go

Dinner from 8 pm when the street is lit, or lunch from noon when it is quiet and shaded. Open until 11:45 pm Sunday to Thursday and 12:30 am Friday and Saturday. Weekend evenings mean a wait without a booking.

Know before you go

$$$, in line with the Beach. Española Way is pedestrian, so you arrive on foot; the city garages on Washington Avenue and Collins Avenue are a few minutes away.
