What to order
Thumb bits are the house signature: the original comes with house au jus for $19, and the chef's version adds bourbon BBQ, blue cheese and caramelized onions for $21. The rest of the menu reads like an old supper club. There's a French dip at $25, a double cheeseburger at $21, frog legs, pan-fried yellowtail, churrasco, and steak au poivre made with filet mignon at $46. Prime rib is $52 most nights. Salads come with homemade dressings, Thousand Island included. Finish with key lime pie or the old-fashioned bread pudding. Dinner mains add up fast, so the sandwiches are the smarter play.

Happy hour runs Monday to Friday from 4 to 7 pm: $5 select beers, $6 wines by the glass, $7 well drinks, and $7 select classic cocktails that otherwise cost $14. Tuesday is Margarita Martes. Wednesday brings wings at $7 a half dozen, $14 a dozen or $25 for two dozen, in buffalo, bourbon BBQ or plain. Thursday is the prime rib night, at $42 instead of the usual $52. Healthcare workers, government staff, law enforcement, military, teachers and students get 10% off, so bring an ID if that's you.
After the kitchen closes
The bar keeps going well past dinner: until 2 am Tuesday through Saturday, and until midnight on Sunday and Monday. The kitchen stops at 11 pm, so order food before then. Weekends bring DJs, which makes Friday and Saturday a different room from a quiet Monday martini. The cocktail list stays classic, from an Aviation and a Negroni to a Porn Star Martini and an espresso martini made with house cold brew.
