Miami Beach Bandshell
An open-air, canopy-covered concert venue on Collins Avenue in North Beach, run by the Rhythm Foundation, with global music and free shows.
Vérifié octobre 2026
For anyone who likes live music with ocean air and a cold drink, from cumbia nights to touring bands. The trade-off: strict bag rules, paid parking after 6 pm and no refunds when it rains.
Club box or the floor
Seating changes with the show, so check the listing before you buy. Standing GA means an open floor with a few unreserved seats at the back and a seated ADA section. Seated and reserved shows use stadium-style chairs, and social layouts mix dance space with high-top cafe tables. The upgrade is a club box: ten cabanas on a raised riser along the rear wall, each with couches and chairs and admission for six. At some events it comes with its own Collins Avenue entrance and a VIP bar. At GA shows you can wander down front and still come back to your couch, which is the real perk.
What's on the calendar
The Rhythm Foundation has run the place since 2015 and books it like a world-music club that happens to be outdoors: samba, cumbia, a Buena Vista Orchestra night, touring rock bands, dance programs. Last year it put on 140+ concerts and events for more than 70,000 people, and a good chunk of that was free community programming and family shows. Evening hours run Friday 7 to 11 pm, Saturday 6:30 to 11 pm and Sunday 6 to 10 pm, with weekday hours from 10 am to 4 pm. It holds 4.7 from about 2,100 Google reviews, which tracks for a venue this easy to like.
Bags, bar and the rain question
Bring a personal-item bag only; backpacks and large bags aren't allowed, and security checks everything. Outside food and drink stay outside, but the full bar pours specialty cocktails and craft beer, and most nights the Bandshell Cafe sells pizza, empanadas and popcorn. Straws and plastic cups are gone, water comes in refillable aluminum cans, and there's a free refill station. The canopy covers the venue and shows go on rain or shine. That cuts both ways: tickets aren't refundable, and rain isn't a reason for a refund. Kids are welcome, so think about ear protection for the little ones. Pets stay home; service animals are fine.
