Good for a casual sushi lunch, a late Friday roll or a chatty Tuesday omakase with your own bottle. It's small and counter-focused, and cards add a 3.5% fee.

The Tuesday counter

Tuesday is the night to plan around. The chef runs two omakase seatings, at 6:30 and 9 pm, under the name Friends at the Counter: a small counter where strangers end up talking. You pick 13 courses for $120, or 16 courses for $150, which adds a welcome drink and more premium ingredients. Reservations are required. The regular menu stops at 5 pm that day, so walk-ins after that are out of luck. Groups of six or more can request a private omakase on other days, subject to availability. It runs about two to two and a half hours.

Rolls, sandos and ramen

Every other day there's one menu from noon to close. The starred house favorites are the gyozas at $8, the akami carpaccio at $13, the Tuna Lovers roll at $15, the Ceviche roll at $18 and the Surf and Turf roll with seared wagyu at $25. Nigiri runs from $5 for two pieces of salmon up to market price for toro and Hokkaido uni. Not in a raw mood? The katsu-sando comes with fries for $15, and the house ramen is $16. The 6-piece nigiri set at $25 is the easy way to judge the fish.

Bottles and the bill

There's no wine list to study. It's BYOB with a $25 corkage per bottle, omakase included, so factor that in if you're bringing two. Cards carry a 3.5% processing fee. It's closed Monday. Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday it's open noon to 10 pm, and Friday and Saturday it runs noon to 1 am, which makes it a rare late sushi option on this stretch of Biscayne. It holds a 5 from about 200 Google reviews: a small sample, but a spotless one.
