Miami nightclubs: the door, the price and what time to show up

Ten Miami clubs and late bars, from Club Space at sunrise to no-cover Twist: what the door wants, what a night costs and when the room actually fills.

The short version

  • Dance until morning: Club Space, 34 NE 11th St, Friday to Sunday 11 pm to 11 am.
  • Big table night: LIV at the Fontainebleau, Thursday to Sunday, 11 pm to 5 am.
  • House music, small room: Do Not Sit On The Furniture, 423 16th St, Wednesday to Saturday.
  • No cover: Twist, 1057 Washington Ave, open 3 pm to 5 am every day.
  • Salsa without a rope: Hoy Como Ayer on Calle Ocho, Friday and Saturday 8 pm to 2 am.

Decide what you came for before you pick a club: Club Space and Do Not Sit On The Furniture are for the music, LIV, E11EVEN and Vendôme are for a table and a budget, and Twist, Mango's and Hoy Como Ayer will let you dance tonight without a promoter.

Before you leave the hotel

  • Club Space, LIV, E11EVEN, Vendôme and Twist are 21+, and Mango's turns 21+ at 10 pm; bring a physical ID, since Club Space and Vendôme do not accept photos of IDs
  • Visitors from outside the US: LIV and Vendôme ask for a passport
  • Dress codes run from relaxed (Club Space: a top, and sandals with a back strap) to strict (Vendôme: collared shirt and pants for men, heels for women)
  • Shorts, tank tops, beachwear and caps are turned away at LIV, E11EVEN and Vendôme
  • Club Space and Floyd sell tickets on DICE, and a ticket still does not overrule the door
  • Nobody arrives at 11: the big rooms fill after 1 am and peak between 2 and 5 am
  • Swan in the Design District is closed for renovation, with no reopening date on its site
  • Take a rideshare both ways; parking near Collins Avenue, Washington Avenue and NE 11th Street is scarce or expensive

01 · Until sunrise

Club Space

34 NE 11th St, Downtown · Downtown · $$$$

Downtown's after-hours club. House and techno, with the rooftop Terrace under a disco ball as the main room. The night is built backward: almost nobody comes at 11, the room fills after 2 am, and the part people talk about starts around 6 am, in daylight, with the headliner often still playing.

Google gives it 3.8, and the low stars are about the door and the bar prices, not the music. Buy on DICE, but the door still decides. The dress code is the most relaxed of the big clubs: a top, and sandals with a back strap. No filming, phones included. Floyd, the small house and techno room on the ground floor, open Friday to Sunday 11 pm to 5 am, is where many people warm up.

02 · Big table night

LIV

Fontainebleau, 4441 Collins Ave · South Beach · $$$$

The big Miami Beach club inside the Fontainebleau: a high ceiling, a packed floor, tables all around it, and bookings that swing between hip-hop and EDM depending on the night. Celebrity sightings are part of what you pay for. Open Thursday to Sunday, 11 pm to 5 am, and Sunday is its own long-running party.

It has the lowest Google rating here, 3.3, nearly all about the door, the wait and the bill. Cover and table prices are not posted, so book through the club's reservation page before you dress up. The dress code is long: no shorts, tank tops, sandals, worn sneakers, flats for women, jerseys, athletic wear or hats. Events start around 11:30 pm and peak from about 1:30 am.

03 · The show

E11EVEN

29 NE 11th St, Downtown · Downtown · $$$$ · Open now

Across the street from Club Space and a different idea of a night: a big room built around a show, with performers on stage and overhead, rotating DJs and hip-hop acts, and tables around the floor. It calls itself open 24/7, and Google agrees, but the night really starts after midnight and peaks roughly 2 am to 5 am.

Three ways in: general admission at the door, presale tickets with their own line, or a table. Prices change by event and are not listed. It rates 3.7 on Google, with complaints about prices and long, unclear waits at the entrance. Upscale dress: no beachwear, tank tops, shorts, caps, flip-flops or jerseys. Giselle, the rooftop restaurant, can start the night earlier.

04 · Dressed up

Vendôme

743 Washington Ave, South Beach · South Beach · $$$$

A smaller, more polished table club on Washington Avenue. Champagne, DJs, a dressed-up crowd, and 4.0 on Google, better than most big Miami clubs. It is open Monday, Friday and Saturday from 11:59 pm to 5 am, and that Monday matters: it is one of the few real club nights when most rooms are dark.

The strictest door here. Men in a collared shirt and pants, women in nightlife wear with heels; no shorts, tank tops, sandals, worn sneakers, jerseys or hats. Bring a US driver's license or a passport, never a photo of one. Table prices change by night and are set per event, so book through the club or the VIP line. The room fills after 1 am and peaks around 2 to 4.

05 · For the DJ

Do Not Sit On The Furniture

423 16th St, South Beach · South Beach · $$

A small South Beach club with the DJ booth in the middle of the room, so everyone faces the music. House, deep house and underground DJs from around the world, in a club founded by Behrouz and Megan Nazari. It rates 4.0 on Google, high for Miami Beach, and the reviews talk about the sound and the crowd rather than bottles.

Open Wednesday to Saturday, 10 pm to 5 am. It starts slowly, and the best hours are usually 1 am to 4 am. Wednesday and Thursday give you room to dance; weekends and Miami Music Week bring touring names and a line. Cover changes with the booking, so check the lineup first. Casual upscale, not beachwear. It is near Lincoln Road, where parking at night is hard.

Mango's
06 · Salsa on Ocean Drive

Mango's

900 Ocean Dr, South Beach · South Beach

Loud, colorful and made for visitors: live salsa and Latin bands, dancers performing on the bar and a floor full of people trying their first steps. More than twelve thousand Google reviews at 4.6, which tells you how many groups pass through and how many leave happy. The dinner show and a salsa and bachata lesson both start at 7:30 pm.

Entry is free before 8 pm; after that cover usually runs $10 to $40, and ladies are free before 11 pm. The club is 21+ after 10 pm and busiest from about 11 pm to 2 am. The dress code starts at 7 pm: dress shorts and sneakers are fine, beachwear, flip-flops, men's tank tops and caps are not. Valet is $40 to $50, or $10 if you spend $150.

07 · LGBTQ classic

Twist

1057 Washington Ave, South Beach · South Beach · $$

South Beach's long-running gay club: two stories, seven bars, three dance floors, a Latin room and a garden, with a different sound in each room. Drag shows, karaoke and dancers fill the week. Local readers voted it Best Gay Bar in the Miami New Times Best of Miami 2026 poll, and everyone 21 and over is welcome.

Never a cover, which is rare on Washington Avenue. Open 3 pm to 5 am every day, with two-for-one drinks from 3 to 9 pm, the full club from 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and most shows around midnight. Google has it at 3.6, mostly about crowds and slow drinks at peak. Sunday has a garden BBQ happy hour from 5 pm.

08 · Cuban music

Hoy Como Ayer

2212 SW 8th St, Little Havana · Little Havana · $

A small Cuban music club on Calle Ocho, part of Little Havana nightlife since 1999 and recently reopened under new management. A stage, a bar, live Cuban and Latin music, and a crowd that runs from older Cuban regulars to people who learned salsa last month. Dress up a little, like for dinner, and dance.

Open Friday and Saturday only, 8 pm to 2 am. Friday has a ladies cocktail hour from 8 to 10 pm, and both nights run a late happy hour from 10 pm to close. The room fills once the band starts, usually after 10, so come earlier for a table. Some nights are ticketed shows; check the lineup and cover on the club's site or Instagram. Have dinner on Calle Ocho first.

09 · Day party

Kiki on the River

450 NW N River Dr, Miami River · Downtown

A Greek restaurant on the north bank of the Miami River where lunch turns into a party: tables on the water, boats pulling up to the dock and a DJ playing through the meal. Weekend afternoons are the peak, from 12:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday, running until 2 am. It is the one place on this list where the night starts in daylight.

It is $$$$ on Google and rated 3.9, with the complaints about price and slow service on packed days. Book weekend tables through SevenRooms on its site; we could not confirm minimums or dress rules, so ask when you book, and dress for going out, not the beach. Monday and Tuesday it opens at 5 pm and closes at midnight, a calmer dinner.

Sweet Liberty

Sweet Liberty

237 20th St, Collins Park · South Beach · $$

Not a club, and that is the point. A busy cocktail bar near the Bass Museum with a long bar, classic and original drinks, and food like oysters and lobster mac and cheese. No cover, no door to argue with, and 4.6 from more than twenty-seven hundred Google reviews. It was No. 21 on the World's 50 Best Bars list in 2018.

Open 4 pm to 5 am every day, with happy hour from 4 to 8 pm, one of the best value windows in Miami Beach. Weekend nights get loud and packed from about 10 pm, and because it pours until 5 am it is where a lot of club nights end. Reserve on OpenTable; groups of 8 or more use the form on the bar's site.
