The short version

  • Adult, 13 and over: $20 now during restoration; $25 from November 1, 2026; regular price $32.
  • Child, 6 to 12: $10; children 5 and under free.
  • Hours: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, every day except Tuesday.
  • Free entry: Veterans and active military with ID, SNAP/EBT holders, ADA plus one caregiver.
  • Getting there: Vizcaya Metrorail station, about a 10-minute walk.

Go before October 31 if you can, while the adult ticket is $20; either way the reduced price reflects real closures, so expect scaffolding and a few roped-off rooms and gardens.

Why the ticket is cheaper right now

Vizcaya is in the middle of several preservation projects in 2026. Its own notice lists what is closed: garden areas including the Maze and the Theater Gardens, some Main House interiors that have been emptied for the work, and the Swimming Pool Grotto, which sits under scaffolding.

Most of the estate is still open. You can walk the Main House and the Formal Gardens on your own with free audio tours and spotlight talks, plus the Secret Garden, the Center Island and Parterres, the Garden Mound, the Tea House, the Barge and the Boat Landing. The Marine Garden and the peacock columns are newly restored.

So the $20 or $25 is not a sale; it is a fair price for a partly closed house. If the Maze is the reason you are going, wait. If you want the bay-front terraces and the stone Barge, now is a good time.

Getting there without a car

Take Metrorail to Vizcaya station. Vizcaya says the entrance is about a 10-minute walk: follow the signs to the overpass across US-1, then walk east on SW 32nd Road to South Miami Avenue.

The free Brickell Trolley stops on South Miami Avenue right at Vizcaya: stop 39 northbound, stop 15 southbound. The Coral Way Trolley and Metrobus routes 17 and 24 stop at the Vizcaya Metrorail station. Rideshare drivers enter the Entrance Drive on South Miami Avenue and drop you at the Piazza, where admissions is.

Vizcaya's directions page does not publish a parking price, so check it before you drive. Buses and large vehicles must arrange parking in advance.
