In breve

  • Most rooms: Fox in a Box, 28 SE 1st St downtown: nine rooms, 60-minute games.
  • Clear prices: PanIQ, 910 Collins Ave: about $40 to $43 per person with fees.
  • In a mall: The Escape Game, Brickell City Centre: 60-minute games, 8 am to midnight.
  • With kids: Escapology Doral has a Kids Mode for ages 7 to 14.
  • Plan for: 60 minutes of play, 75 to 90 minutes in total; arrive 15 minutes early.

Fox in a Box downtown has the most rooms and the clearest age rules, so start there; on Miami Beach, PanIQ posts its prices up front, and Escapology in Doral is the pick for families with kids under 15.

The short answer

An escape room is a 60-minute puzzle game for a small group locked in a themed room. Miami has several, and they cluster in three places: downtown and Brickell, South Beach and Doral. All five below had working booking pages in October 2026.

Prices are per person and usually drop as the group grows, and most venues only show the exact price once you choose a room, a time and a headcount. We list a number only where the venue posts it. Every venue on this page asks you to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your slot.

Fox in a Box: the biggest choice, downtown

Fox in a Box sits at 28 SE 1st Street in downtown Miami and runs nine rooms across eight themes. Each game is 60 minutes, and the venue asks you to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early; it says that is mandatory. Plan on about 75 minutes in all.

It is the venue with the clearest age rules. Nuclear Bunker and Prison Break are for 10 and over with adults in the room; Abandoned Zombie Lab, Tesla's Mystery, Final Confinement and Mastermind Heist are 15 and over; The Other Side and Zodiac Serial Killer are 18 and over. Nuclear Bunker exists as two identical rooms, so two teams of up to seven can race head to head.

Prices depend on players, time slot and room, and you see them by picking options in the booking tool without entering personal details.

The Escape Game in Brickell City Centre

The Escape Game is a national chain with a branch inside Brickell City Centre at 701 S Miami Avenue. It runs 60-minute rooms for all ages, including Cosmic Crisis, Gold Rush, Special Ops and Prison Break, and a limited Haunted Heist from October 30 to November 1. The venue is in the North Block, and it recommends parking in the B1 or B2 Blue garage levels.

It is a good choice if you are already shopping in Brickell, or if you want a game with a meal at the mall before or after.

On Miami Beach: PanIQ and South Beach Room Escape

PanIQ is on the ground floor of the Stardust Hotel at 910 Collins Avenue and has four 60-minute rooms: Atlantis Rising (family friendly), Zombie Outbreak and Medieval Madness (10 and over), and Cartel Crackdown (adults only). It is the one venue here that posts prices clearly: $40.17 per person for two players and $43.26 for three or more in a public game, fees included, or $51.50 per person for a private game for two. Public games can add strangers to fill empty spots. Children under 7 are not admitted, and ages 7 to 12 need an adult in the room.

South Beach Room Escape is upstairs at 235 Lincoln Road. It lists Diamond Heist for 2 to 10 players and The Wrath of Maribel for 2 to 8 players, 13 and over, with gore and occult themes, both at $35, plus an outdoor game called The Capit's Protocol at $55 per group. It has a rooftop terrace with views over Lincoln Road for parties. It does not take cash.

Escapology in Doral, for families

Escapology opened in CityPlace Doral at 3450 NW 83rd Avenue, Suite 150. Every game is private to your group, so you will not be mixed with strangers. It runs a Kids Mode for ages 7 to 14, and anyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Plan on about 90 minutes in all, and arrive at least 15 minutes early. The room list on Escapology's site covers the whole chain, so check which rooms Doral runs when you book.
