Joia Beach
A Mediterranean restaurant, beach club and DJ lounge on a private strip of sand at Jungle Island, right on the water.

For a long, dressed-up beach afternoon that rolls into sunset cocktails without leaving the city. The trade-off: a strict dress code, $25 valet, and no posted prices, so it's a plan, not a drop-in.
Three ways to sit
Joia splits into three areas, and the one you pick decides your day. The Restaurant puts tables on the sand or under a palapa, with a Mediterranean menu of Greek spreads, crudos and handmade pastas. The Beach is the day-club part: plush chairs, cabanas, food and drinks brought to the shoreline, and water access. The Lounge sits just off the sand with loungers, cocktails, bites, and DJs or live performers setting the volume. Swimsuits are fine in the last two, not the first. The restaurant requires shirts, bottoms and shoes, so pack a real cover-up even if you plan to swim.
The menu, by the hour
The site lists separate menus for weekday lunch, a Sunset Hour, a Riviera Brunch and Miami Spice in season, plus its own cocktail list for the Lounge and Beach. That's your planning cheat sheet. A weekday lunch is the calmer way in, and Sunset Hour is the reason to arrive late in the afternoon. It's open from 11:30 am every day except Tuesday, until 9 pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and until 10 pm Friday through Sunday. The site shows slightly different closing times, so check before a late booking. No prices were posted in what we checked, so look at the menu before committing to a cabana.
The door and the drive
Management enforces the dress code at entry and can ask you to leave. The banned list is specific: athletic wear, hoodies, sweatpants, tank tops, cargo pants, fishnet cover-ups and slides with socks. Think upscale beach, not gym. Valet costs $25, self-parking is only at Jungle Island, and the place itself nudges you toward rideshare. Pets stay home, service animals excepted. Arriving by boat works too: there's a private tender service on request, though jet skis aren't allowed. It holds a 4.4 from about 3,600 Google reviews, which fits a spot people seem to enjoy once they've followed the rules.
Parcheggio
Valet is $25; if you'd rather self-park, it's only at Jungle Island, so rideshare is easier.
Dress code
Bring a cover-up and real shoes: swimsuits aren't allowed in the restaurant, and hoodies, tank tops and athletic wear get turned away.
Da sapere
Coming by boat, ask for the private tender service; jet skis aren't permitted.
