Otto & Pepe
A Wynwood pasta bar and wine shop on NW 27th St, with handmade pasta, a sunny patio and a deep Italian and French wine list.
Verificato ottobre 2026
For a pasta dinner with a bottle worth talking about, or a long patio lunch. The trade-off: $$$ prices plus an automatic 18% service charge make that cacio e pepe cost more than the menu suggests.
The pasta to order
The signature is the maccheroni with half a Maine lobster, 'nduja and spicy vodka sauce, and at $60 it's the splurge on the menu. The classics are where the value sits: bucatini cacio e pepe for $25, or paccheri in the house double-cooked tomato sauce for $25, plus $5 if you want stracciatella on top. Shaved black truffle adds $25 to the cacio e pepe or the mushroom calamarata, which is a lot for a garnish. Start with the pizza fritta, fried dough with roasted tomatoes and stracciatella, at $18. Any of the pastas can be made gluten-free.
What's in the cellar
Natural wine is the pitch, and the list backs it up with bottles from Foradori, Jean-Pierre Robinot and Nicolas Joly. Then it swerves: Barolo from Roagna and Borgogno, Burgundy up to a Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, and a 1996 Ducru-Beaucaillou for whoever's paying. Italy gets the most room, with Abruzzo, Sicily and Sardinia well covered. The site doesn't publish bottle prices, so ask before you point. It's also a wine shop, so taking a bottle home is an option. Not drinking? There's a non-alcoholic sparkling from Oregon, and a separate cocktail menu for everyone else.
The bill and the hours
Every check gets an 18% service charge, and parties of four or more pay 20%. It isn't a tax, and it sits on top of $$$ prices, so look at the bill before you tip out of habit. The kitchen runs noon to 10 pm every day, with a lunch menu and a happy hour menu, which makes an early weekday visit the cheaper way in. Seating includes a sunny outdoor patio and a pasta bar. It holds 4.6 from about 520 Google reviews. There's also a separate omakase booking; check what it involves before you reserve.
Prenotazioni
Reservations are taken through the restaurant, and the omakase has its own separate booking.
Da sapere
An 18% service charge is already on the bill (20% for four or more), so don't double-tip by accident.
