The wine and the board

Two very different seats are on offer. Indoors is a cozy, vintage-styled room that fits the old-hotel setting. Outside puts you along the Miami River, which is the reason most people pick this over a Brickell tower bar. For a date, ask for the water side. For a cooler, quieter night, the inside room works fine. The address is SW 2nd Street, on the river edge of Brickell and downtown, so it feels a step removed from the louder blocks south of the bridge.

Jazz nights and happy hour

Live Latin jazz and bossa nova play Friday and Saturday from 8 to 11 pm, which makes those the nights to book if you want music with your wine. Happy hour runs Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 8 pm, so on a Friday you can catch both: arrive at 6, stay for the first set. Hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 6 pm to midnight, Friday until 1 am. It's closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, which catches people out.
