A Love Story Winery & Bistro
A romantic Latin-Mediterranean wine bar and bistro on SW 56th Street, built for birthdays, anniversaries and salsa nights.
Checked November 2026
Book it for an anniversary or birthday dinner with paella, wine and live music. The trade-off: it's a celebration machine, and group service charges plus a 3% card fee add up fast.
What to order
Paella heads the list of what the place says it's known for, alongside seafood paella, branzino, lobster, ceviche and steak. The menu runs Latin and Mediterranean, so tostones and empanadas sit next to risotto and pasta, with flan to finish. Wine is the point of the name, and there's a sommelier-picked wine club with Platinum and Silver tiers if you become a regular. Brunch happens on weekends, when Saturday and Sunday open at 11 am. Prices weren't in what we checked, so look at the menu before you bring a crowd. One guest review posted on the site says the paella came light on rice.
Birthdays, roses, sparklers
This is a celebration room first. Mention it when you book and they'll add an anniversary, birthday, congratulations or date night package: rose petals, candlelight, a custom sign or sparklers on dessert, depending on which you pick. Guests keep pointing out how many spots there are to take photos, which says a lot about who books here. Miami New Times readers voted it Best Winery in 2025, and it holds 4.6 from about 3,400 Google reviews. If you want a quiet dinner with no sparklers going off two tables over, a weeknight is the safer bet.
Latin nights and the bill
Weekly events include Latin nights and live music, and the monthly calendar stretches to concerts, car shows and a Pilates Brunch Club. Check the events page first, whether you want the salsa night or want to dodge it. It's open from noon until 9 pm Monday and Tuesday, 10 pm Wednesday and Thursday, and 11 pm Friday; Saturday runs 11 am to 11 pm and Sunday 11 am to 9 pm. Read the payment policy before you split the check: groups of six to nine get a 20% service charge, ten or more get 22%, and Florida sales tax is added on top.
Reservations
Ask for a birthday, anniversary or date night package when you reserve; they set it up at the table.
