Good for a big, easy brunch facing the beach or a game on the rooftop with a cocktail. The trade-off is classic Ocean Drive: tourist pricing, street noise and a crowd, not a quiet local café.

The terrace on Ocean Drive

Breakfast starts at 8 am every day, and the real draw is the oceanfront terrace at 1144 Ocean Dr, inside the Hotel Victor. The menu is comfort food with a Latin twist: a long breakfast list, then lunch and brunch from 11. This is a big all-day diner, not a hushed café, and the patio is lively, which on Ocean Drive means foot traffic, street noise and plenty of people watching. It's $$, so expect strip pricing rather than a bargain. Still, 4.8 from about 10,200 Google reviews is a lot of happy people for a block this touristy.

Terraza upstairs

Up on the roof, Terraza by Cafe Americano is an open-air, climate-controlled lounge with an ocean view and a wide spread of HD screens. The restaurant pitches it as a sports bar: craft cocktails, beer and the same American-with-a-Latin-twist food, in seating that's built for sticking around through a whole game. It's the better pick if you'd rather have a drink with a view than brunch at street level. Rooftop hours aren't listed separately, so call ahead if you're planning around a kickoff.

Google lists this branch at 8 am to 4 pm daily, while the restaurant's own site still shows dinner until 10:30 pm. Check before you plan an evening here.
