Getting up there
This isn't a walk-in rooftop. HIGHBAR is for hotel guests at Dream South Beach and anyone holding a resort pass, and one pass covers the pool deck, the bar and Naked Taco downstairs. Google lists it open 9 am to 9 pm most days and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday, but the venue says pool and rooftop hours are set by the hotel, so check before you ride the elevator up. There's no separate kitchen up here. The rooftop serves the full Naked Taco menu, so order what people order downstairs. Margaritas run $15 for a classic and $18 for the jalapeño-passion fruit Some Like It Hot. Bringing a crowd? The Tomahawk Taco Party is $129 and built to share. Prices are South Beach prices, and you're paying the same as the patio, just with a pool and a view attached.

The venue says it plainly: golden hour is the whole point. Sunset cocktails are the main event, with DJs on weekends and live sax at golden hour on some evenings.
