For HEAT fans, arena-concert people and anyone with a ticket to a Latin tour. It's a big, polished room with 4.7 from about 23,700 Google reviews; the trade-off is a crowded downtown exit after the show.

HEAT nights

HEAT home games mostly tip off between 7 and 8 pm, with the odd early or late one: the Thunder game on Sunday, Nov 22 starts at 6 pm, and the Knicks on Saturday, Dec 12 go at 8:30. This fall's calendar also includes NBA Cup group play, with the Pacers on Oct 30 and the Cavaliers on Nov 13. Knicks and weekend games are the ones that pull a louder, fuller building. Check the start time on your ticket rather than assuming 7:30, because it moves around more than you'd think.

Beyond basketball

Concerts fill the nights between games, and the lineup leans heavily Latin. Young Miko plays Oct 28 at 8 pm, Rawayana has three nights Dec 4 to 6, and Gente de Zona brings the Isla Viva Tour on Dec 11. Doja Cat (Nov 11, 7:30 pm), The Neighbourhood (Nov 12) and John Summit (Nov 20 and 21) round it out. It's not all music, either: Tony Robbins takes over Nov 5 to 8, Wild 'N Out Live comes Nov 28, and a business forum runs in mid-December. Read the event page before you buy.

Food, lounges and the tour

Food stands run on every level, with menus from local restaurateurs, so you don't have to eat downtown before the show. Want to sit down? The site lists 601 Miami for premium dining, plus the Bacardí Ocho Lounge and other premium lounges, which are worth checking against your ticket type. On non-event days, the All-Access Tour covers the arena and the HEAT side of the building: one is set for Sunday, Nov 1 at 2 pm and more run Nov 27 to 29. It's the easiest way to see the place without the crowd.

The weekday 9 to 5 hours aren't show hours; games and concerts run evenings and weekends on their own times.
