Key Biscayne Yacht Club
A private yacht club on Harbor Drive since 1955, with a marina, a sailing center and dining rooms for members and their guests.
Checked October 2026
For members, their guests, reciprocal yacht club members and boaters calling ahead for a slip. If you don't have one of those connections, the gate is where your visit ends.
Getting through the gate
This is a private club, and the visitors page is clear about it. You get in as a member's guest, as a member of a reciprocal club, for a private function or by boat. Guests have to come with a member in good standing, and charges go on the host's account. Florida Council of Yacht Clubs members check in with the security guard, then register at Member Services with their home club card. Other reciprocal clubs need a letter of introduction emailed in advance, and those privileges cap at fourteen days a year. Showing up off the street with no connection won't work.
Coming in by water
Boaters have the most direct route: call the marina ahead to see whether there's slip space for your vessel. Marina Services and the fuel dock run Tuesday through Sunday from 7 am to sunset, with Monday hours of 7 am to 3 pm. Sailing is the club's other big draw, with adult and youth programs, a summer camp and regattas like the Round the Island race. The sailing center opens 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday, though times shift around practice and racing, and there's no access to the shed outside those hours without authorization.
Dinner, dress and phones
Once inside, the Chart Room and Burgee Bar serve lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday, with breakfast on Saturday and brunch on weekends. The Biscayne Dining Room and Commodore's Lounge do dinner on select nights, and the Gazebo runs an all-day menu on weekends. Google lists the club closed Mondays, open 11 am to 9 pm Tuesday to Friday, 8 am to 9 pm Saturday and 8 am to 8 pm Sunday. Phone calls aren't allowed in dining areas or bars, and phones stay silent everywhere. Smoking and vaping are limited to the picnic tables on the grass. It holds 4.6 from about 450 Google reviews.
Getting there
- The club calls Key Biscayne a ride-share island, so download a ride app before you head over.
Parking
On weekends, self parking is for members with a decal only, so guests use the valet; on weekdays, ask the guard at the guardhouse.
Dress code
No bathing suits in any of the bars or dining rooms, and the main dining room is island chic, so pack a change if you're coming off a boat.
