Unlimited Biking
A South Beach bike shop on Washington Ave renting hybrids, eBikes and kids' gear, plus two-hour guided tours from $55.
Checked October 2026
Good for first-timers who want South Beach on two wheels without dealing with a car. The trade-off: the tours stick to the greatest hits, and summer heat shrinks the comfortable riding window to mornings.
Picking a bike
The rack covers more than most rental counters: comfort hybrids, pedal-assist eBikes, aluminum and carbon road bikes, tandems and kids' bikes. A hybrid is plenty for South Beach, which is flat and mostly a slow cruise past Art Deco fronts. The eBike, from $20, earns its keep if you're riding to South Pointe and back or adding the Botanical Garden. Rentals run from one hour to multi-day. One or two hours covers Ocean Drive, Lummus Park and Española Way. Four hours or a full day lets you drift further. The shop sits on Washington Ave, a couple of blocks from the beach, so you're on the bike paths fast.
The tours and what they cost
The Miami Beach Highlights tour runs two hours from $55 and works through the South Beach staples, Ocean Drive included. The same idea on an eBike starts at $75, which is worth it if your group has mixed fitness levels. There's a Spanish-language version at the $55 price, and a private tour from $300 if you'd rather have a guide to yourselves. Tours are booked through the site. The shop holds 4.9 from about 380 Google reviews, about as good as a bike counter gets, and a sign that the guides and the bikes hold up.
Riding with kids
Families get real options here: kids' bikes, tag-a-longs, toddler trailers and baby seats. The catch is that tag-a-longs and double trailers only attach to hybrids, not eBikes, road bikes or your own bike, so the adult towing a kid is pedaling unassisted. eBike riders have to be at least 13, and anyone under 18 needs an adult over 18 present when the bike is handed over. Plan the ride for the morning. From June through October, afternoons run hot, humid and stormy, and the shop itself warns that midday riding gets uncomfortable and risky.
