Things to do in Doral: the new central park, Topgolf, the Blue Monster and the mall next door

What Doral is good for

Doral sits just west of Miami International Airport, and many visitors stay there for that reason. It is not a walking neighborhood like Coconut Grove or Wynwood. You drive between things, and the things are big: a 78-acre city park, four championship golf courses, a driving range with games, and Dolphin Mall just outside the city line in Sweetwater.

That makes Doral good at three kinds of day: active family days, golf, and long casual dinners. This guide covers each with hours checked in October 2026. Prices are only listed where the venue publishes them.

Doral Central Park: the free half day

Doral Central Park is the city's largest park at 78 acres, and it opened in full in May 2025 after the final phase added an aquatic center and an 80,000-square-foot community center. The aquatic center has a 50-meter Olympic-size pool, a leisure pool and a splash pad; call 305-593-6682 for swim times and fees.

Outside the pool there is enough for a morning: a playground, a skate park, a pump track, courts, a walk and run path, a boardwalk, a fishing pier and a kayak launch. Fishing, the kayak launch and the boardwalk are open from the park's opening time until sunset. The park opens at 6 am on weekdays and 8 am on weekends.

In February 2026 the city moved ahead with a three-level garage topped by nine pickleball courts at the park, with an 18-month build planned while the park stays open.

Topgolf, the Blue Monster and the 2027 tournament

Topgolf Doral at 11850 NW 22nd Street is the evening option: open until midnight most nights and until 1 am on Friday and Saturday. Pricing is per bay for the whole group. Walk-ins pay as they play, with a 30-minute minimum. New players pay a $6 account activation fee on top. Players must be 18 or older to book, and guests under 16, or under 18 after 9 pm, need a supervising adult 21 or older.

Trump National Doral at 4400 NW 87th Avenue has four championship courses: the Golden Palm, the Silver Fox, the Red Tiger and the Blue Monster. The resort's page does not publish public tee-time rules, so call before you plan a round.

The PGA Tour's Cadillac Championship returns to the Blue Monster on March 4 to 7, 2027, according to reports on the 2027 schedule; the Greater Miami tourism board's listing gives March 3 to 7, with more details to come.

Eating and going out in Doral

The Doral Yard at 8455 NW 53rd Street, at Main Street and Paseo in downtown Doral, is a food hall with an indoor side, the Hub, and an outdoor side, the Backyard. The Greater Miami tourism board's July 2026 Doral guide lists Yip for dumplings, Tacotomía for tacos, PokeKai for poke and burgers, and Santo Dulce for churros, plus live music and free outdoor movies outside.

CityPlace Doral is the open-air shopping and dining center with a show fountain in the middle. The same guide lists Kuba Cubana for Cuban music and food, Tap 42 and Novecento for weekend brunch, a CMX CinéBistro with reclining seats, and the Miami Improv comedy club. City Food Hall Doral runs a weekday happy hour from 3 to 7 pm, per the tourism board.
