For anyone in Brickell who wants a big, messy burger without a fuss. The catch: the base price is fair, but add-ons pile up quickly, and a loaded build costs more than you'd think.

The burger to order

The plain cheeseburger is $15: an 8oz prime patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. Start there if it's your first time. Most craft burgers run $17, and the Hangover Helper ($18) is the one with a story: bacon, provolone, potato sticks, a fried egg and cilantro mayo. The BM Truffle Deluxe is $26 and adds truffle carpaccio. If you're committing, the Truffle Deluxe Flight pairs it with truffle fries for $35. It holds 4.8 from about 6,000 Google reviews, which is a lot of people agreeing on a burger.

Building your own

The build-your-own menu starts at $14 for the protein: beef, grilled or panko chicken, turkey, or Impossible for $2 more. Doubling the patty adds $4, tripling adds $8. A lettuce bun or a plate with no bun works too. Then the meter runs. Cheese is $1 to $3 (raclette and brie sit at the top), toppings like bacon or avocado are $3, and most sauces are $2. Do the math before you get creative, because a fully loaded custom burger can easily pass the price of the craft options. Pick the one that's closest to what you want and tweak it instead.

Sides, shakes and the rest

Yuca fries with cilantro mayo are $5, the cheapest thing on the menu and the side to order. Tostones are $7, and the truffle parmesan fries are $10. Jumbo wings are unbreaded, at $12 for five, or $17 if you go truffle garlic parmesan. Milkshakes are $8, and key lime pie and Biscoff are the flavors you won't see everywhere. Kids get the Kidsmeister, nuggets and fries for $8. The Brickell branch is open from 11 am daily, until 10 pm Monday to Wednesday and 11 pm Thursday through Sunday.
