For anyone downtown who needs a burger after midnight, or a solid lunch without much ceremony. The trade-off: there's very little published about the menu, so you're trusting a 4.7 and the name on the door.

The late shift

Five in the morning is closing time here on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, which puts it among the few downtown spots still feeding people after the bars let out. The rest of the week is earlier: 11 am to midnight Monday through Wednesday, and 11 am to 11:30 pm on Sunday. That Sunday close catches people out, so don't plan a 1 am Sunday run. It opens at 11 am every day, so it works just as well as a downtown lunch stop at 47 NE 2nd Ave.

What's on the grill

The online ordering page goes by Smash N Fries, which tells you the core of it: smashed patties and fries. We don't have a full menu or prices from the sources, so look over the ordering page before you set your heart on anything specific. Price level sits at $$, so expect to pay more than a drive-through and less than a sit-down steakhouse burger. A 4.7 from about 500 Google reviews is a strong number for a late-night burger place, where expectations usually run low.

Ordering ahead

Online ordering runs through Clover, and it's the easy move if you're heading over late and don't want to stand around waiting. Place the order before you leave the bar, walk over, pick it up. The website is only a checkout page, with no menu writeup and no about page, so the food has to do the talking, and going by the reviews it does. With a group, have one person order for everyone online and skip the shuffle of six people deciding at once.
