For members and their invited guests who want serious courts, a quiet beach and real privacy. Everyone else should know the catch up front: there's no walk-in, no public ferry ride and no rooms to book.
Members only, really
Fisher Island Club is a private, membership-only club, and that's the whole point. The island covers about 216 acres with roughly 800 residences, and members come from more than 40 countries. Even the 15 suites on the grounds are for members only, so booking a room won't get you in the side door. For most people reading this, the honest answer is that you can't just show up. It holds a 4.7 from about 620 Google reviews, which mostly tells you the people who do get in are happy. With no member connection, enjoy it from the water and plan your day elsewhere.
Courts, greens and sand
The sports list is the strongest part of the pitch. There are 16 tennis courts covering all four Grand Slam surfaces, plus 5 pickleball courts and 2 padel courts. Golfers get a 9-hole P.B. Dye championship course. The Beach Club sits on what the club calls one of the country's only truly private beaches. Beyond that, there are two deep-water marinas, a full-service spa, salon and fitness center, casual and formal dining, the Vanderbilt Theater, The Cove kids' club and an aviary with over a dozen exotic birds. It's a lot packed onto one small island.
The ferry question
There's no bridge. Fisher Island is reachable only by ferryboat or private yacht, which is a big part of how it stays this private. The address is 1 Fisher Island Drive, and the club lists its main line as (305) 535-6000. Hours aren't published in anything we checked, so if you've been invited as a guest, call ahead and sort out ferry access before you head over. Don't assume a dinner plan or a court time gets you onto the boat. Confirm who's sponsoring you and exactly how they want you to arrive.
