Maurice A. Ferré Park
A free 30-acre bayfront park on Biscayne Blvd with waterside paths, public art, a dog park and outdoor gym gear.
Checado em outubro de 2026
Good for a morning walk, a leashed dog or a free bay view downtown, and it holds 4.7 from about 6,400 Google reviews. The trade-off: firm rules, no drinks, no swimming, and race mornings that take over the paths.
The bayfront walk
Thirty acres of lawn and palm-lined paths run along Biscayne Bay here, at the north end of Downtown's waterfront. The park bills itself as the connector: green space, public art and cultural institutions strung along a walk by the water. Google also lists a small sand beach, which is for looking at, since swimming isn't allowed. It's open daily from 7 am to 10 pm, free, every day of the year. Early morning is the easy call before the heat builds. Evening works too, with the bay going dark and the gates staying open until 10.
Bring the dog
There's a dog park here, a waterfront enclosure meant for dogs to run and socialize. Outside it, dogs are welcome on a leash, and you pick up after them. The public restrooms sit near the dog park enclosure, next to the parking zone, which makes that corner the practical base camp. There's also outdoor fitness equipment and open lawn for anyone who'd rather do pull-ups than throw a ball. Leave the e-scooter at home: motorized and battery-powered bikes and scooters aren't allowed in the park.
Rules and race days
The rule list is short and strict. No alcohol outside authorized events, no fishing, no swimming, and landing a boat needs a permit. Any organized gathering, picnic, barbecue or meeting needs a permit too, through the Bayfront Park Management Trust. The park also hosts morning races: the Give Miami 5K on November 15 and Race for Champions on December 12, both 8 to 11 am, plus the Family Style Festival on December 5 from noon to 8 pm. Check the events calendar before planning a quiet morning walk, since race days fill the paths.
