For travelers landing at MIA or FLL who'd rather get their car at the terminal than ride the shuttle to the rental center. The trade-off: no posted prices, a 25-plus age rule and a credit card deposit in the driver's name.

Picking up

The pitch is the handoff. Someone meets you at the customs exit at Miami or Fort Lauderdale airport with a sign showing your name, then gives you the car at your arrival terminal. That skips the shuttle to the Rental Car Center and the line inside it. They say they track your flight, so a delay shouldn't leave you stranded. Pickup and drop-off also work at Orlando airport, the Port of Miami, the Fort Lauderdale port or your hotel or residence. The SE 2nd Ave address is an office suite, not a lot full of cars.

What you need

The paperwork is stricter than at some counters. The main driver has to be over 25 with a valid license. If your license isn't in the Latin alphabet, bring an International Driving Permit too. You also need a valid passport and round-trip flight or cruise tickets. The deposit goes on a credit card in the main driver's name, and the amount is set at pickup. They take Visa, Mastercard, Diners, Amex and Discover. You can pay for the booking itself with a relative's or company's card, or a Visa or Mastercard debit card, but not the deposit.

What it costs

The site posts no rates. You get a quote through the booking form, so compare it against the airport majors before you commit. The fleet comes in five classes: midsize sedans like a Corolla or Versa, full-size like a Camry or Altima, midsize SUVs like a RAV4 or Rogue, full-size SUVs like a Highlander or Atlas, and minivans like a Pacifica. Add coverage when you book. The site warns insurance can run up to three times more at pickup. Rental car coverage is required, and third-party liability is recommended.
