Good for a reliable pasta dinner or an easy group lunch downtown. It's a polished chain, not a neighborhood trattoria, and the fish and steak mains climb fast, so the value sits in the pizza and pasta.

What to order

The house points you to three signatures: the branzino with cherry tomato and fingerling potatoes, the short rib ravioli in wild mushroom sauce, and the margherita. Guest reviews keep naming the penne alla vodka, which is a fair bet at $28. The mortadella pizza with stracciatella, pistachio and hot honey is the more interesting pie on the list. For a lighter start, there's a crudo section with tuna and salmon tartare, branzino tartare and steak tartare with quail egg. Brunch runs on its own menu.

Reading the bill

Prices are printed on the menu, so there are no surprises if you look first. Antipasti run from $13 for bruschetta to $32 for the salumi board. Pizzas are $24 to $34, and most pastas land between $25 and $40, with the lobster ravioli at $46. Mains are where it gets steep: branzino is $48, the filet mignon $58 and the Dover sole $59. Watch the add-ons too. Lobster on a pasta is $25 extra, and truffle is $35, which can nearly double the plate.

The room and the hours

It opens at noon every day and closes at 10 pm Sunday through Wednesday, 11 pm Thursday through Saturday, so it works for a weekday lunch near the office towers as well as dinner. It sits at 4.6 from about 1,100 Google reviews, and a lot of them praise specific servers by name, including one who handled a big party without a hitch. There's a bar with cocktails and a wine list, plus happy hour and private events. The other Miami location is at Aventura Mall.
