Silent World Dive Center
A snorkel-only boat operator in Key Largo running reef trips into John Pennekamp, plus scuba charters and PADI classes.
Checado em novembro de 2026
For anyone who wants an easy half day on the Pennekamp reefs without sharing a boat with scuba divers. The trade-off: it's a weather-dependent group trip, and the Christ of the Abyss stop isn't guaranteed.
Picking a trip
The Keys Classic is the default. It costs $75 per person and runs roughly three to three and a half hours, with two stops in John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and up to 90 minutes in the water. One stop is usually Christ of the Abyss. For more reef, the Pennekamp Safari ($90) covers three sites at a faster pace. Icons and Secrets ($99, 4.5 hours) adds the Schooner Wreck and Carysfort Lighthouse. Snorkeling Legends ($109, 4.5 hours) covers Molasses Reef, the statue and the Benwood Wreck. The Golden Hour ($99, 2.5 hours) pairs a shallow snorkel with a sunset cruise and drinks, capped at 26 guests.
No waiting on divers
The fleet is the real draw. Two custom catamarans, The Calypso and The Siren, run snorkel-only trips, so you never sit idle while scuba divers finish their tanks. On the Classic, the price covers a mask, snorkel, fins, a vest and pool noodles. It also includes soda, chips, water and free reef-safe sunscreen. There's a cooler for your own food, so pack lunch. Most tours sail at 70 to 80 percent capacity, which helps on a summer weekend. Everything runs weather permitting, and the statue stop depends on conditions that day.
Scuba, classes and the shop
Divers get their own program here: guided scuba trips, night dives, Discover Scuba Diving for first-timers, and PADI courses from Open Water through Rescue Diver, plus specialties like wreck and enriched air. It's a PADI 5 Star shop, and it runs a coral restoration site at Carysfort Reef with the Coral Restoration Foundation. The shop on Garden Cove Drive is open 8:30 am to 5 pm every day, and check-in and the boats share the same facility. It holds a 4.9 from about 3,200 Google reviews, which is hard to argue with.
Estacionamento
Parking is free, and check-in and the boats are at the same facility on Garden Cove Drive.
Reservas
Book ahead in summer, since tours fill up and the sunset trip caps at 26 guests.
Bom saber
Bring your own lunch: there's a cooler on board for outside snacks, and freshwater showers are waiting when you're back.
