What Brickell City Centre is
Brickell City Centre is the shopping part of a larger development at 701 S Miami Avenue, in the middle of Brickell. It is open-air: the walkways sit under the Climate Ribbon, a canopy that Simon describes as a sunshade that moves air through the center and collects rainwater. Simon says the shopping covers four levels and about 500,000 square feet, and since mid-2025 Simon owns and runs the retail and parking outright.
It is split into an East Block and a West Block on either side of S Miami Avenue. Saks Fifth Avenue fills three floors of the West Block. Most of the restaurants and the cinema are on Level 4 of the West Block, which is where the center stays busy after the shops close.
Simon lists the center's hours as Monday to Saturday 11 am to 9 pm and Sunday 11 am to 7 pm. Restaurants run later; check each one.
Parking and the Metromover
Simon's about page lists garage rates starting at $7 for the first hour, with a daily maximum of $49. There are two garage entrances on 8th Street, and valet is at the underground garage entrance on SW 7th Street.
The easier way in is the Metromover, Miami's free people mover, which runs 5:30 am to 10 pm. Miami-Dade lists the stop as Brickell City Centre (Eighth Street), at 59 SE 8th Street on the Brickell Loop, and Simon says the station lets you off at Level 3 of the center. From downtown hotels or Bayside, it is a short, free ride.
Marabu Restaurant
Simon lists Marabú on Level 4 of the West Block as a Cuban restaurant built around charcoal and coal-fired cooking.
It is the dinner to book when the shopping is done: the center's Level 4 is where the evening crowd ends up anyway, and the Metromover stop is two floors down.
