K1 Speed Miami and the other go-kart tracks you can actually drive
K1 Speed Miami charges $31 a race plus an $8.50 license for indoor electric karts. Here are the height rules and the outdoor track at Homestead.
Коротко
- Indoor: K1 Speed Miami in Medley: $31 for one race, $74 for three, plus an $8.50 license.
- Height: 48 inches for junior karts, 58 inches for adult karts.
- Outdoor: AMR Motorplex at Homestead-Miami Speedway: $35 for an 8-minute race, ages 14 up.
- Hours: K1 opens at noon on weekdays and 10 am on weekends.
- Cheapest first visit: K1's $74 SPEEDPASS: two races, the license and a T-shirt.
For most visitors, K1 Speed Miami's indoor electric track is the answer: book the $74 SPEEDPASS if you are new; if you want a real outdoor track and are at least 14 and 5 feet tall, drive to AMR Motorplex in Homestead.
K1 Speed Miami, the short answer
K1 Speed Miami is an indoor electric go-kart center at 8600 NW South River Drive in Medley, by the Miami River, west of the airport. It has two indoor tracks: an adult track with 12 turns, including hairpins, and a junior track with 11 turns. The building is air-conditioned and holds up to 300 people, parking is free, and there is a 15-game arcade and the Paddock Lounge for food, with beer and wine for guests 21 and up once they have finished racing.
Hours are noon to 10 pm Monday to Thursday, noon to midnight on Friday, 10 am to midnight on Saturday and 10 am to 10 pm on Sunday. In October 2026 its page says it is open during construction, and private events close the track at times, so check its closures page before you drive out.
The price you see is not the whole price on a first visit. One race is $31, but every driver also needs an $8.50 annual license unless they buy the SPEEDPASS, which bundles the license into the package. The license includes a free head sock.
K1 Speed Miami prices

| 3 races | $74 | Three races |
| SPEEDPASS | $74 | Two races, the annual license and a T-shirt |

Перед выходом
- Junior drivers must be at least 48 inches tall and adults at least 58 inches; staff measure on site and make the final call.
- Juniors and adults never race in the same session, so a mixed family drives in separate heats.
- Drivers under 18 need a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- Check in online before you go to save time at the counter.
- Walk-ins are accepted, but groups and parties book through K1's group line.
- At the outdoor AMR track, closed-toe shoes are required and head socks cost $3.
The outdoor option: AMR Motorplex at Homestead
If you want gas engines and a proper outdoor track, AMR Homestead-Miami Motorplex sits on the grounds of Homestead-Miami Speedway. Rental races are $35 per race per driver and last 8 minutes. A 12-race package is $395 and can be split among drivers. Active military and veterans pay $30 a race.
The rules are stricter than K1's. Drivers must be at least 14 years old and 60 inches tall to reach the pedals, under 275 pounds, and drivers under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent form. No experience is needed. A helmet and neck collar come with the race, and closed-toe shoes are required; shorts and T-shirts are fine.
Hours change around private events and race weekends. Its home page lists the 45 mph arrive-and-drive karts on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 6 pm, and its rental page says to check the hours calendar before every visit. Do that: driving to Homestead to find the track closed for a race event is the classic mistake.

Tracks we left out
Older lists of Miami go-karts name a karting track at Dezerland Park in North Miami. Dezerland's own site now covers only its Orlando park, and we found no 2025 or 2026 evidence that the North Miami karting operates, so we did not include it. The same goes for a downtown video-game kart arena that appears on booking sites: we could not find a current official page to confirm its prices or hours. Miami GP Raceway, another name on old lists, shows as closed in directory listings.
